Athletics Carnival

Our main athletics carnival will proceed Wednesday 10 September, weather permitting. The P&C are providing a special lunch for students of a sausage sizzle and drink for $3 per student. Students bring their money directly to the canteen at lunch time, no pre-orders will be taken.

The junior tabloids will be now held on Thursday afternoon, beginning at 1pm.

Independent Public School

We are pleased to announce that Phoenix Primary School has now been awarded the status of an Independent Public School. This is largely due to the information gathered through the DISA (Diagnostic Inventory of School Alignment) survey and we would like to thank all the students, parents and staff who participated. Microscopes Donated by Rotary

This term at Phoenix Primary School we have been studying Biological Science.  The Year 5/6 class are focusing on micro-organisms.  After learning about Anton van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1732) who was a microscope maker, the students have had the opportunity to each use microscopes in the classroom.  Rotary Club donated the classroom set of microscopes to Phoenix Primary School. P&C News

Win an iPad:
The P&C are currently selling lucky numbers to win an iPad.  There are 300 numbers at a cost of $5 per number.  These are available to purchase from the canteen on Mondays and Fridays and all proceeds from this go towards the purchase of a bank of iPads for the school.  This fundraiser is open to the Phoenix School Community, students, parents, families, staff and teachers.
The canteen has reopened on Mondays and Fridays.
Subway is again available for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.  Order in the library before school.  Please make sure that you have the correct money ($5), fill out the order form and place in the secure lock box provided.
