Welcome to 2019. The children have settled in well and are beginning to produce some impressive work.

Two of my focus areas this term are independence and goal setting, and being the best they can be. This is reinforces the Health program taken by Mrs Lynch - Developing Healthy Relationships from the WA Department of Health website.

Mr Anderson will be teaching the year 6 group for Science and HASS and I will be taking the year 5 group.

The students have been divided into spelling groups to enable a focus on skills some students have not grasped as yet.

Mr Walsh will take a small group of students struggling with maths concepts on Wednesdays and Thursdays while the remainder of students work with classroom teachers.

As a staff we are focusing on Problem Solving to increase the students ability to work with given problems in all areas of life. This includes developing strategies, persistence and using previous knowledge. Students should know all basic facts - please practise these at home.
L
ibrary is on Friday. Please ensure your child has a water proof library bag.

I will be teaching Monday - Thursday and Mrs Lynch has them on Friday.
